The Herzogfest is held
annually in Victoria, Kansas. This family oriented event is one of the
largest FREE celebrations in Western Kansas. It is one of the
most anticipated and talked about events of the year. This FREE
festival encompasses entertainment and family fun for all ages. This
event has grown from a one day sidewalk sale into a large weekend event
complete with stages featuring national recording artists, local and
regional entertainment, antique tractor pull, kids pedal pull, talent
show, and kids games. The event is capped with a large fireworks
display.
Herzogfest, Inc. is a domestic
not-for-profit corporation recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code as a not-for-profit charitable organization and is
operated under the supervision of a volunteer Board of Directors.
Contributions and gifts are tax-deductible under section 170(c)(2) of
the Internal Revenue Code. All contributions and in-kind services are
placed directly into the festival. No funds raised or donated are
applied to administrative costs.
The two main directives
of the Herzogfest Board of Directors are to honor and celebrate the
local German heritage, and to provide a FREE community
celebration focusing on family oriented fun. Homage is paid to those
who settled the area and built this charming and thriving Midwest town
and community.
The Herzogfest Board of
Directors and its volunteers work hard throughout the year to plan this
event and hold fundraisers, yet it is essential to have community
support to underwrite and guarantee the success of this FREE
family event! Everyone is welcome and entertained regardless of
economic means or social status. |
